A young police officer saved the life of a runner at a race in Newbury earlier this year (2014). He along with other officers are climbing (16th Sept.) Pen Y Fan mountain in Wales to raise funds for us. This will allow us, when funds allow, to purchase an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) which will be placed in a public location in Newbury Town Centre.  In the event of a cardiac arrest the device can then be used increasing a casualties chance of survival to around 75%.

All of the members of the scheme offer their time and expertise for free giving training on the difference between Heart Attack and Cardiac Arrest, how to put someone in the recovery position and much more.
