The Heartstart Thatcham team are off to a flying start for 2017. The team will exceeded 800 people trained, since August 2013, soon and will be placing their 40th defibrillator by the end of February. There are several fundraisers doing various activities including marathons, walks and quizzes for us throughout the year to enable us to continue to make a difference. The team are already investigating additional units throughout the region including more at Calcot, Newbury, Thatcham and other areas in West Berkshire, and beyond.

Heartstart Thatcham have been delivering Emergency Life Support training and just CPR and Defibrillator sessions for a number of years (see milestones for full details). We are affiliated to the British Heart Foundation (BHF) to deliver the Heartstart scheme and working with them we have been given permission to also deliver their Call Push Rescue scheme. The scheme is designed to be taught, with the use of a DVD and special equipment, and can be done so by anyone.
